Yesterday I spent half the day shopping for flowers and getting the little patios ready for them. I started out at 10am turning the soil in the front patio for some planting. I’m delighted to say that it’s such a small area I got it done in no time. lol I wish I’d had my new shoes when I was doing it. My shoes got a little funky after all the rain.

For some reason the photos I’ve taken of the front patio won’t load. GRRRR!!! I wanted to show before and after pictures. For some reason, I’ve never gotten the front patio put together. It’s always been a little… ugly. lol There, I said it. *giggles*
I got three big, beautiful fuschia plants to hang on either side of the picture window. Daddy and I picked out wrought iron wall mounted flower baskets a while back. He started hanging them yesterday. There are three of them to space evenly across that same picture window. It’ll be stunning!!! He got the first one done when the battery to His drill died. lol More today! 😉

I can’t wait to get these beauties hung!! I bought the wrong kind of hanging hooks yesterday, so another trip to the hardware store is in order. *rolling my eyes* Dayyyyyummm!!! I enjoy hardware stores more than I like to admit….
My mom put my first craft project in my hand at 6 years old. I haven’t stopped since. In the 80’s I did ceramics like every other crafter in America. I painted this sweet little African Violet pot which everyone oohs and ahhs over. lol Truth be told, I don’t think it’s as spectacular as everyone else does. I’m getting away from my point. I’ve been wanting an outdoor tabletop light, so I turned the flower pot into one with a small gas cannister and glass rocks. Add a little charm to my table. 😉

Today’s gardening tasks aren’t frilly and fun like shopping. With the soil turned over I have the perfect environment for planting my grass seeds. Yes, I am growing a tiny patch of grass from seeds. I’ll be a watering fool over the next few weeks.
The sun is shining and it’s warm. A perfect spring day to spend outside playing in the dirt. 😉

I LOVE spring and planting flowers. But…aren’t you moving soon? I was surprised to see you investing in things for this property. Unless…maybe you are sprucing it up so that you can list it?

It’ll be hard to leave my pretty flowers. Curb appeal and making the back patio look inviting. The flowers are things my agent suggested. I get to enjoy them for a few months, too, so it’s not so bad. 🙂

Well, at least you get to enjoy them during the best season of the year!!! And, you’ll be on the East Coast for the fall colors! 🙂

Weather is all over the place here. It’s in the 40s right now but will be close to 70 this afternoon. *sigh* The table lamp cost me $5 to make. lol I used a pot of my own and got 4 bags of decorative rocks at the dollar store and a little gas cannister there, too. Voila! Instant cuteness. 🙂
