1st Anniversary

Daddy and i are celebrating our first wedding anniversary next Friday. He took a couple extra days off giving us a nice long weekend to spend together on a romantic getaway.

Forgive me for repeating myself if i’ve already told the story of our actual wedding. i kind of think i haven’t. Daddy proposed to me in July, 2018. We planned on getting married on Halloween. Life happened and we had to postpone. lol Imagine that, laws have changed since i got married before and new documentation we required on Daddy’s part which slowed the process down. It was always the plan to get married. With all of Daddy’s family and friends back East and all of the “stuff” that goes into a wedding, it just kinda got set aside. We wanted to get married desperately! It just never seemed the right time.

The morning of February 7, 2019 i looked at Daddy and said, “Today’s the day. Let’s get married.” He was stunned!! Then He gave me the biggest grin i’ve ever seen and we headed off to the courthouse to get our marriage license. When we got home, i called my bestie and asked if he’d marry us that night. Sure ’nuff!

We got dressed in the outfits we’d always planned on wearing. There we were in our living room being married by my best friend and his husband filming and acting as our witness.

Small, romantic, tender…. and totally from the heart because there was no time to stress about it or over think it. Daddy was near tears through the whole ceremony. β™₯ i was tender and little… totally His little one. Such a beautiful ceremony and the feelings just buzzed in the air. Magic. Sheer magic.

So, next Friday is a year for us. πŸ™‚ We’re going for a long weekend in Fort Bragg. Ocean view hotel. Restaurant chosen. Sight seeing. All the typical romantic weekend getaway stuff planned. β™₯

i can’t hardly wait for the day to come that we head up!

Happy anniversary, Daddy~Monstah.
