DAY 26: What are the qualities you seek in a dominant partner and why? Are some qualities deal-breakers as in “must” haves or “must not” have?

i have a fairly short list of things i look for in a dominant partner and nearly all of them are deal-breakers.

• Daddy Dom
• Most of our kinks align
• Monogamous with me
• 24/7 DD/bg relationship, preferable with HoH component
• Sets rules and expectations
• Enforces rules fairly
• Funny, playful, silly… loves my little!
• Patient
• Confident
• Experienced Dom
• Protective of me & will stand up for me when i can’t
• High sex drive
• Consistent
• Extremely Affectionate

Half the things on this list have to do with me being a little. A Dom, Master or Sadist just wouldn’t do. i have to have a Daddy!!

The monogamy thing is huge for me. He’s MY Daddy!!! *giggles* i’m not terribly jealous or possessive so long as everyone respects the terms of our relationship. i know not everyone feels this way, but having a partner i love and who loves me and being willing to share takes away the specialness of the relationship. my feelings are very vanilla this particular area. ♥

The only other area which i want to say more about is being protective of me. i’ve had other subs and slaves criticize me for needing Daddy to step in and handle things for me. This boils down to being a little, too. Sometimes i handle things and people very well. Others i get overwhelmed and need Daddy to step in to help me. The most prominent situation is getting inappropriate attention from other men. Sometimes i get scared and don’t know what to say or do, so Daddy will handle the scenario for me. i see this is part of the responsibility of a Dom…. protecting their subs from people and situations which are hard to handle. i’ve been in relationships where this hasn’t happened and it’s one of my top deal-breakers.
